The N501Y SARS-nCoV-19 -qRT-PCR Detection Kit is an in vitro diagnostic medical device that is used for qualitative detection of SARS-CoV-2 Variant of Concern 202012/01 (VOC-202012/01) assumed to emerged in the UK in 2020. This kit allows detection of N501Y mutation with a one-step reverse transcription and realtime PCR (RT-qPCR) by extracted ribonucleic acid (RNA) from Nasopharyngeal and Oropharyngeal swab specimens. This product is formulated to amplify two nCoV target genes in a single reaction and delivering a shorter run time.
