EG-Q BOND is a medical adhesive used for bonding tissues or artificial materials to biological tissues.
Overview
Currently, most bio-adhesives are imported, creating a drawback for patients, due to their high price points. PAC, the main ingredient for EG-Q BOND, is a new technology applied to the cyanoacrylate series that improves the disadvantages of butyl cyanoacrylate and octyl cyanoacrylate. EG-Q BOND replaces conventional medical sutures in minimally invasive surgery and incision sites by creating a thin, elastic film to protect the wounds. It minimizes the occurrence of scars from using the sutures, and hypertrophic scars that might occur during the recovery period.
