Thanks to the flexibility of the used fabric, the stretchable electrodes form to the skin perfectly, reducing the probability of movement artefacts due to the rigid material of current grids on the market. This makes it possible to study dynamic movements, such as walking or jumping, improving signal quality and reducing the need for artifact removal.
Textile HD-EMG grids
Textile HD-EMG grids are very suitable for use on contracting muscles. The Textile HD-EMG grids come with Ag/AgCl electrodes, so that the signal quality remains stable over the course of the recording. The Textile HD-EMG grids have 32 channels, ordered in a 4×8 topology, with an inter-electrode distance of 8.75 mm.
Grid Connector Box and Cable
The Textile HD-EMG grid connector box contains spring-loaded pogo pins. These are the interface between the grid’s Ag/AgCl traces and the cables running to the amplifier. The spring mechanism, together with the housing design, ensures that all pins apply sufficient pressure for a robust connection between the connector box and grid. The cable from the connector box is a lightweight, actively shielded cable that ends in a single multiconnector, so that all 32 channels are connected to the amplifier using a single connector.
