Description

The HemCon ChitoDot® is a chitosan-based bandage intended for local management of bleeding wounds. The HemCon ChitoDot® provides rapid control of bleeding in patients following hemodialysis, and for those on anticoagulation therapy. ChitoDot® also offers an antibacterial barrier against a wide range of microorganisms including antibiotic-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), Enterococcus faecalis (VRE), and Acinetobacter baumannii.
