Since SUFBs are commonly used for airway inspection and clearance of secretions, their suction capabilities in relation to the outer diameters are important. A Bench study was conducted to assess the suction capacity of the currently available SUFBs at various fluid viscosities : For regular SUFBs, TSC Life Broncoflex 5.6/2.8 (Vortex) provides the maximum suction capability.
