The Heka Film is a transparent polyurethane wound film with an acrylic adhesive layer. The wound film is semi-permeable, does not let moisture and bacteria in from the outside and is permeable to water vapour from the inside. This creates a moist wound environment and prevents skin softening. The wound film is thin and flexible and conforms to body contours.
The wound film is used for the protection of dry wounds and delicate tissue, but can also be used as a secondary fixation bandage on uninfected wounds and to protect skin damage from pressure, friction or prolonged exposure to moisture. The wound film is transparent, allowing wound inspection without removing the film.
