VDO BIOTECH has developed donor and acceptor microspheres specifically designed for homogeneous luminescence, with a particle size of 200nm, achieving uniform dispersion in homogeneous systems and facilitating automated liquid handling. The donor microspheres contain photosensitive dye, while the acceptor microspheres contain luminescent dye. When excited by a 680nm laser, the surrounding oxygen is converted to excited singlet oxygen, which diffuses to the acceptor microspheres within 200nm, producing a stable and efficient light signal at 615nm.
