Multi-purpose, high wattage, constant temperature, VWR® digital block heater which is economical, versatile and compact. This digital model, with heated lid, provides reproducable results, exceptional temperature uniformity and is ideal for a wide range of applications. Temperature calibration mode allows the user to calibrate the unit to an external temperature device. In timed mode, an alarm will sound when the time reaches zero and the unit reaches the set point temperature.
'Hot' symbol warning light is illuminated when the temperature is above 40 °C
Accommodates VWR® interchangeable modular heating blocks for tubes from 0,2 to 50 ml capacity
Heated lid helps to regulate the temperature and reduce the amount of condensation on sample lids
This multi-purpose unit is ideal for isothermal incubation and activation of cultures, enzyme reactions, immunoassays, denaturing proteins, DNA applications, ELISA, melting/boiling points, and a variety of other laboratory procedures.
Microprocessor control: PID microprocessor temperature control, with optional external RTD probe, offers a temperature stability as low as ±0,1 °C with a temperature uniformity as low as ±0,1 °C. Samples are heated to temperature quickly and accurately, heat-up time to 100 ºC is 50 minutes. Temperature is adjusted in 0,1 °C increments.
LED display: Touch pad controls with easy to read, independent LED displays for temperature and time. Shows set point and actual temperatures. Timer displays elapsed time or, when programmed to user-defined limit, will shut off unit when time reaches zero.
