The Crystal·Lambe breast implant is made of consecutive cross-linked sheets of silicone elastomer; this makes for an elastic breast implant that is well-made. On the surface, there are approximately 8 pores/mm2, and the pore's diameter is about 287 μm with an approximate depth of 700 μm. The pores allow for body tissue to easily grow into them, which lessens the chance of capsular contraction. In this implant, the cohesive gel has more cross-links that Crystal-Lambe's regular silicone gel, and it does not move if an implant broke.
