The Response Ortho STEP Ankle Plating System is designed to be a low profile, minimally invasive comprehensive solution available for the treatment of common ankle injuries. A pre-contoured bend supports the anatomy, while the unique, diverging screw geometry of the distal hole cluster allows for maximized fixation at the fracture site. The system is also suitable for use with external fixation to distract the ankle joint.
The plates are designed to be used with both locking and non-locking screws although locking screws provide stronger and more stable fixation. All the plates have compression slots on the shafts for adjusting plate position and fracture compression.
1.6mm average anodized Titanium plate thickness helps minimize soft tissue irritation.
System Plate Options
Anatomic Distal Anterior Tibial Plate
Distal window provides radiopaque visualization, micro-flexibility, grafting access and articular surface reduction
2.3mm raft screws provide subchondral support
There are two divergent screws in the medial malleolar area
Anatomic Distal Medial Tibial Spoon Plate
Distal window provides radiopaque visualization, micro-flexibility, grafting access and articular surface reduction
Distal screw provides inter-fragmentery compression.
Anatomic Distal Tibia Medial Fork Plate
Distal double column structure provides hook fixation and increased construct strength
2.3mm distal screws provide inter-fragmentery fixation options
2.3mm screws on the columns provide small bone segments fixation
Anatomic Fibular Plate
Multiple distal fixation points provide excellent rotational stability and fixation strength
