Description

WizScript™ Reverse Transcriptase is a genetically modified M-MLV Reverse Transcriptase that exhibits RNA or DNA-dependent DNA polymerase but lacks ribonuclease H activity. This enzyme can synthesize a complementary DNA strand initiating from a primer using RNA or DNA templates. Removal of the RNase H activity results in an increase of full-length cDNA products. The RNase H activity degrades the RNA part of the cDNA/RNA hybrid following reverse transcription, which may prevent its inhibition during subsequent PCR steps. Overview •RNase H negative •Molecular weight : 71 kDa •Reaction temperature : 37°C ~ 42°C •Heat inactivation : 70°C / 10 min. •Free of endo- and exodeoxyribonucleases, phosphatases, and ribonuclease •200 units/μl Application •Gene synthesis •First-strand synthesis of cDNA •RT-PCR •Random priming reactions •Library construction •Probe labeling •mRNA 5’-end mapping Storage & Shipping Shipped on ice packs and/or dry ice
