FCOV Test Feline Corona Virus Antigen Test Kit is used to test FCOV, Feline Coronavirus (FCoV) is a common feline viral infection. Generally asymptomatic infection, but can cause mild diarrhea. Most cats infected with FCoV will clear the virus after infection, but some cats may develop a persistent infection.
PRINCIPLE
The FCOV Test Feline Corona Virus Antigen Test Kit uses chromatographic immunoassay to qualitatively detect coronavirus antigens in cat feces. Load the sample to be tested on the sample pad, and then the capillary flows along the sample strip. The detection antibody is coupled to colloidal gold because its conjugate will be mixed with the sample solution. When FCoV antigen is present, a complex is formed by FCoV antigen and colloidal gold-labeled antibody. Then, the labeled antigen-antibody complex is bound by the second "capture-antibody" that recognizes the complex and fixed on the test strip as a T-line. Therefore, a positive result produces a visible burgundy line of antigen-antibody complexes. A burgundy C line will appear to confirm the correct operation of the test.
REAGENTS AND MATERIALS
- 10 test pouches, with cards and disposable droppers
- 10 vials of assay buffer (1000μL each)
- 1 package insert
INTERPRETATION OF RESULTS
- Positive (+): The presence of both "C" line and zone "T" line, no matter T line is clear or vague.
- Negative (-): Only clear C line appear. No T line.
- Invalid: No colored line appears in C zone. No matter if T line appears.
