Description

D-Dimer Rapid Quantitative Test (Chemiluminescence Immunoassay) is used for in vitro quantitative detection of the D-Dimer concentration in human sodium citrate anticoagulant-contained plasma (1:9) and venous whole blood samples, mainly used for auxiliary diagnosis of cardiac diseases. Product Detail Application D-Dimer is a protein with a molecular weight of about 180 kD, wormed by the cross-linking of fibrin monomers through the activation of factor XIII, by hydrolysis by fibrinolytic enzymes. The process of coagulation involves the conversion of fibrinogen into non-cross-linked fibrin under the action of thrombin and Ca2+, and the subsequent covalent cross-linking of the non-cross-linked fibrin between two α-chains and two γ-links by coagulation factor XIIIa, ultimately forming a high molecular weight, insoluble, cross-linked fibrin. This cross-linked fibrin is then degraded, and D-Dimers are produced during this degradation process. While fibrinogen, non-cross-linked fibrin, and cross-linked fibrin can all be degraded by a series of enzymatic reactions under the action of fibrinolytic enzymes, only the degradation of cross-linked fibrin results in the production of D-Dimers. This makes D-Dimer a specific marker for the degradation of cross-linked fibrin. D-Dimer is used to quantify the concentration of D-Dimers in human plasma or venous whole blood samples in vitro, and it has great diagnostic value in thrombotic diseases such as disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC), deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism (PE), cerebrovascular infarction, and severe hepatitis.
