Torque Wrench Material properties All instruments that come into direct contact with the sur- gical field are made of zirconium oxide. The cutting instru- ments are made of high-strength ATZ high-performance ceramic (Alumina Toughened Zirconia). This alumina-reinforced zirconium oxide is ideal for the manufacture of drills and taps. The ATZ drills cut excellently with very little wear. Note: The drills must be examined after every use for blunt cutting edges or damage and if necessary, exchanged.
