This kit is used to quantitatively detect the activity of alkaline phosphatase in human serum in vitro. Background of Clinical Indications It is used for the auxiliary diagnosis of rickets, osteomalacia and other bone diseases, as well as obstructive jaundice and other diseases. Increased: seen in patients with obstructive jaundice, hepatic cirrhosis, hepatic necrosis (increase is not obvious in hepatocellular jaundice); primary and secondary hepatic disorders. It can also be seen in patients with osteitis deformans, osteoblast disease, rickets, osteomalacia, hyperthyroidism, hyperparathyroidism and renal tubular acidosis. Decreased: common in patients with severe chronic nephritis, celiac disease, anemia, cachexia, thyroid insufficiency or hypothyroidism in children, malnutrition, and cretinism.
