This kit is used to quantitatively detect the content of C-reactive protein in human serum in vitro. Background of Clinical Indications CRP is a kind of acute phase protein, and its specific pathological role is currently unclear. However, in patients with various acute and chronic infections and tissue damages, CRP rapidly rises within a few hours, and rapidly drops to normal levels when the disease subsides. Compared with other known acute-phase proteins, CRP has the highest content and changes the most during the onset. And the change of its serum content is most consistent with the acute phase response of the disease. Therefore, the detection of CRP has become an important indicator for judging diseases such as inflammation and detecting acute-phase reactions.
