Conventional sheet adhesive dressing.
The upper layer of the sticking part around the dressing is a polyurethane film.
The lower layer is a hydrocolloid viscose, which is composed of sodium carboxymethyl cellulose.
The middle area of the dressing is polyurethane foam.
Longterm Medical Foam Adhesive is a two-layer dressing for moderately to severely exuding wounds. Each layer of foam adhesive helps improve the performance of the dressing. The dressing includes a polyurethane absorbent foam pad and a polyurethane membrane. The core of the dressing is a layer of absorbent polyurethane foam that absorbs wound exudate vertically into the dressing. The absorbent pad retains the exudate within the dressing, preventing the exudate from re-entering the wound and impregnating the peri-wound and surrounding skin. The polyurethane film provides an effective barrier function and is waterproof while allowing the transpiration of exudates, which contributes to the overall fluid handling capacity of the dressing.
Suitable for moderately to severely exuding wounds. Patients are able to continue their daily activities with confidence. The dressing conforms to the contours of the body, reducing the risk of wrinkling or snagging in clothing and bedding.
