1. Sodium citrate is used as anticoagulant to prevent blood from clotting.
2. Filled with a buffered sodium citrate solution in a concentration of 0.129mol/L (3.8%).
3.The blood to additive ratio is 4:1.
3. After ESR tube has been filled with blood, immediately invert the tube 8-10 times to mix and ensure adequate anticoagulation of the specimen.
