Andor are global leaders in the development and manufacture of high performance scientific digital cameras, microscopy systems and spectrographs for academic, medical, industrial and government applications. Through continuous dialogue with our customers and strong teamwork we continue to innovate ground-breaking products, improving the world in which we live.

Andor Technology is based in Belfast, N. Ireland and was set up in 1989 as a spin out of Queens University Belfast. The founders of Andor Technology were working in the Physics Department and found that the cameras available at the time were unable to keep up with their ever-increasing demands. Instead they developed their own camera, which was used in various imaging and spectroscopic applications.

Andor is a subsidiary of Oxford Instruments Plc.
