Asynt

About Us

Asynt was formed in July 2003 with the aim to develop, supply and support new, sustainable and novel products central to the laboratory.

Since inception, we have developed the DrySyn range (a clean, safe alternative to oil baths and heating mantles) both reducing costs in purchasing / disposal of oil and a 35% reduction in energy consumption.

We also pride ourselves in reducing laboratory water consumption using our air cooled CondenSyn units and highly effective water circulators.

Our current team has over 100 years of experience in the scientific sector and work hard to help our customers find the best possible solutions for their requirements.

Key product lines available include Asynt ReactoMate Lab Reactors, CondenSyn, DrySyn heating and cooling blocks, high pressure reactors, fReactor – the flow chemistry solution for every lab – and tools from BioChromato, Bohlender, IKA, Grant, Huber, J-Kem, Julabo, Frozen in Time and Vacuubrand amongst others. With a broad range of scientific equipment and consumables ranging from bench top laboratory scale to pilot plant and beyond both in the chemical and biological sectors.

Asynt’s Managing Director, Martyn Fordham, spent almost twenty years dealing with the requirements of research chemists (at the outset just custom glassblowing) before forming Asynt. For Martyn, having the right staff who are both knowledgeable and dedicated to customer support has been the key to Asynt’s successful growth.

Our values

Asynt is committed to working smarter to further sustainability in the modern laboratory.

We invest energy, time and money in finding responsible and sustainable solutions for the laboratory and our own workplace which have the most positive impact possible on our environment on both a personal and a global scale. Our main aim being to reduce the depletion of natural resources, minimize waste and observe the changing mentality to pursue alternatives to utilizing dangerous chemicals and substances. Our team of engineers work hard to manufacturer products best suited to reduce the carbon footprint and increase scientists productivity in an environmentally positive way, at the same time saving space, money and time.

We believe that if we start by making small changes, bigger ones will follow. Something as simple using a DrySyn heating block for example, which negates the need for the regular disposal of oil from a bath, uses 35% less energy, allows us a cleaner laboratory with fewer spills to clean up, and cleaner air to breathe.

We also pride ourselves in reducing laboratory water consumption using our air cooled CondenSyn units and water circulators.

With high demand from our customers, we developed the CondenSyn waterless condenser to effectively replace the Liebig condenser across multiple laboratory functionalities thus reducing flood risk and water consumption.
