DISCHER history

The DISCHER success story began in 1977 with a little capital and modest means of production. A small lathe laid the foundations for a company that is today one of the leaders in its field.

In the cellar rooms of his house, the company’s founder, Josef Discher, first produced small construction kits and auxiliary elements, assisted in commercial matters by his wife Rosemarie. After the founding of DISCHER Medizintechnik GmbH in 1982 and site expansion, the production and repair of stainless steel elements for hospitals was extended and further employees were taken on. The expertise gained led to the company’s own production of bedpan cleaning machines in 1992. Initial production was increased five fold within a few years.

After rebranding to DISCHER Technik GmbH in 2002, development focussed even more on the core business. This commitment combined with consistent product innovation in cleaning and disinfection machines means that DISCHER Technik is now one of the leading German suppliers in this market.

DISCHER Product development

DISCHER Technik plans, develops and produces within the company focussing on one product sector. This core expertise has led to constant product improvements and innovations which, in part patented or with protection of utility models, are exclusive to DISCHER products.

Committed and qualified employees ensure the proven and certified quality. High-quality systems are formed on a modular basis and undergo quality testing at each stage in production. Electrical installation and plumbing are performed by specialists and all DISCHER machines have the CE mark.

In addition to the standard products, the strong point of production lies in individual custom-made machines that take special construction or technical specifications into account. To this end, DISCHER has also specialised in the fit-for-purpose modernisation of old machines using the latest technology and thus leading to improved functionality. Such machines can then be run much more compatibly to the environment and economically.
