FreeHand Surgeon Robotic

Who we are

FreeHand’s FDA & CE certified cobots are revolutionary robotic camera controllers for minimally invasive surgeries that have assisted in over 15,000 surgeries worldwide since their debut in 2010. With FreeHand ‘Vista’ and ‘Panorama’ there is no need for the camera-holding assistant in the OR, allowing the highly-skilled medical professional to perform other important duties. The cobots are developed to benefit surgeons, hospitals and patients for use in general, thoracic, abdominal, gynecological and urological procedures.

FreeHand cobots grant surgeons a tremor-free image under the full and precise control of the surgeon with simple hands-free operation.

Hospital productivity is greatly increased by lowering the number of staff needed to complete procedures, cutting operating times by up to 20% and decreasing patient length of stay by up to half a day.

Patients recover faster and report less pain following operations performed by the devices. This is achieved by permitting a safer and smoother pivot point, thereby reducing the dragging effect.

What is a Cobot?

A cobot, or collaborative robot, is a robot intended for direct human robot interaction within a shared space. Blending seamlessly into the operating room environment and offering a short learning curve, they bring surgeons back to the operating table, allowing them to use their preferred instruments and practice. The combination of a rock-steady image and 100% haptic and tactile feedback allows surgeons to do the best work of their careers without straining hospital budgets.

Our values

At freehand we strongly believe that optimising the operating room working environment and supporting surgical performance brings better patient outcomes
