Inion Oy is a medical device company focused on the development and commercialisation of innovative bioabsorbable and bioactive implants for Speciality Orthopedic, Craniomaxillofacial, Spinal and Dental applications. Our aim has always been to provide surgeons the freedom to choose bioabsorbable implants over metal when it's the best option for their patients. That way we can contribute to helping as many people as the possibility to continue their lives without permanent surgical implants in their bodies. Approximately one million of our bioabsorbable implants have already been used in over 300 000 surgical operations.

Inion’s products include biodegradable plates, screws, pins, anchors and bone graft substitutes, all of which are used to enhance the healing of bone or soft tissue injuries, such as those caused by trauma or by reconstructive surgery. Inion’s core expertise is in the design and manufacture of implants from its proprietary Inion® family of biomaterials, which enables the Company to develop medical implants with properties tailored for specific surgical applications, in terms of strength, flexibility and rate of degradation.

Inion was incorporated in 2000, and our company has offices in Finland and in the USA. Our products are sold through a dedicated network of specialist distributors around the world.
