Intrauma
Who we are
Founded in 2006, Intrauma is headquartered in Rivoli, nearest Turin. The company was founded to manufacture an innovative medical device, the “O’nil System Internal Fixator”, distributed directly in Italy and all over the world through authorized resellers.
Our company know-how is based on years of management experience in the field of orthopedic traumatology, marked by the constant search for cutting‑edge solutions, particularly technical‑scientific innovations in its line of products and systems.
Intrauma designs and manufactures O’nil internal fixator range of products, in clinical use since 2002.
The company is committed to the research and development of both materials and production processes, in collaboration with experienced traumatological surgeons, to provide the highest quality devices and to simplify the everyday approach to traumatology.
Innovation and technology
The O’nil system, while morphologically similar to traditional plates, is mechanically similar to external fixators. But it is different from each of these, showing itself to be a new and original system of osteosynthesis. Solidarisation between the self-locking screws and the support is assured by the coupling that is created in the interface between the head of the screw and the tapered bore of the bushing.
O’nil is a stable system that is substantially different from a “traditional” plate. The O’nil system elastically transfers forces that act on the fracture. The structure elastically deforms under the action of such forces, returning to its initial state when the actions cease.
Our values
The values and concepts that determine which products will be successful in the orthopedic and traumatological market are subject to changes that need time to be introduced, understood and accepted. This is the challenge that Intrauma has faced and won over the last 20 years, when it first introduced a concept and technology that had never before been applied to traumatology in this sector. To continue to grow over the next ten years and beyond, we must understand the needs of the market and offer products that meet the new needs of surgeons but also of hospitals and its operators. Intrauma will have to move quickly to prepare for the future of Traumatology, but without forgetting the unique and recognizable technology for which it is known throughout the world. This is our Vision, redefining our products and our unique technologies to respond to new market paradigms while remaining recognizable and unique even in the future.
