Marposs was founded in 1952 and Mr. Stefano Possati is the President of the Group; it provides shop-floor solutions for measurement, inspection and testing in the production environment.

Specifically in the field of orthopedic manufacturing, in addition to the automated control system for implants, Marposs performs measurements of diameters, roughness, small-size surface defects, and angles of prosthetic components (hip, knee, shoulder) by laser micrometers, chromatic confocal senors, and pneumatic air gauges sensors as well as in/post-process contact gauging of hip joints within grinding, polishing and turning machines.
