Pointex

Pointex was born in 1991 in Prato, the biggest textile district in Europe that is renowned all over the world.

The first production arises, like the following productions, from the capacity to listen to the market and to solve people’s requirements with innovative textile solutions.

The founder Marco Ranaldo began the production of textile fabrics for car seat covers in a period when cars were a necessity to be protected, exhibited, and preserved.

The market has recognized and supported this intuition and Pointex is experiencing a remarkable start which continues even in the following years thanks to a precise vocation: to be a creative, innovative, and future-forward mill.

The company began to produce textile fabrics for mattresses and becomes soon a leader in this branch in Italy growing until the present era. We have grown to over 20.000 square meters, almost 160 employees, more than 120 electronic looms, a capacity of 8 million running meters of fabric and 500 square meters of carpet every year.

Thanks to quality, innovation and creativity in the last 10 years Pointex has conquered new international markets with important projects and continues its progressive growth giving immediate reply to people’s requirements.

In March 2020, just in the middle of the health emergency of Covid-19, Pointex started a medical department to produce face masks and individual protection devices that have obtained the certifications as devices for medical use.
