TensioMed is a research-based company specializing in creating diagnostic tools for prevention, particularly in the field of arterial stiffness. Our primary product, the Arteriograph, is recognized as the gold standard device and is extensively utilized by leading research institutes and hospitals for pulse wave analysis and detecting asymptomatic atherosclerosis.

The company was founded by Prof. Miklos Illyes, a well-known university professor in the field of arterial stiffness. As a physician, he was completely aware of the needs of his peers and, with his team, implemented those requirements into both the software and hardware.

The core values of both Tensiomed and the Arteriograph device are:

i., Precision: the accuracy of measured parameters are proven by invasive comparative measurements as well.

ii., Medical innovation: with the measured parameters – for example central (aortic) blood pressure, pulse wave velocity and augmentation index – an improved cardiovascular risk assessment process can be facilitated.

iii., Fast measurement: a measurement takes only about 2-3 minutes

iv., Simplicity: no need for highly trained personnel to perform the measurement (only for the analysis of the results).

v., Cost-efficiency: the device is portable, it can be operated with 4 pieces of AA alkaline batteries. There is no need to purchase any further accessories.
